Will there be a 2024 Skills in the States Forum?
A: No, there will not be a public forum in 2024. We invite you to save the date, May 5-7, 2025, for the 2025 Skills Summit, National Skills Coalition's largest event of the year.
-
Where can I find resources that were shared during the 2023 forum?
A: State policy resources, photos, and the printed agenda have been uploaded to the SSF Content page.
-
Do I need to book my own hotel room for the Fall SkillSPAN Convening?
A: Yes. Hotel information for the Fall SkillSPAN Convening can be found on the Registration page.
-
Why book at the Hyatt Regency Denver?
A: Booking your reservation outside of the hotel room block via Internet travel sites or “shopping” for lower rates at nearby hotels has a long-term negative impact on our ability to host events. Hotels place financial penalties on organizations like ours for each room not used within our negotiated block of rooms thus making it harder for us to negotiate lower rates for our attendees in the future, which we are committed to doing. By filling the block of reduced rate rooms that we have negotiated, we are able to meet our contractual hotel obligations to avoid any financial penalties to the organization and we are able to use this history as a strong negotiation tool to keep our rates for attendees low year after year. We appreciate your support of National Skills Coalition by booking hotel rooms within our official block.

I received a stipend to attend the Skills Summit in May 2023 or another NSC in-person event before. Will there be a stipend opportunity for the Fall SkillSPAN Convening?
A: Unfortunately, stipends are not available for this event. Attendees are expected to cover their hotel stay and travel expenses.
